  • Lets talk about sex! Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus made headlines for her unfettered comment toward in regards to sex ‘ending after 40.’

During her chat with host, Matt Lauer, Cyrus stated that, “I heard when you turn 40, things start to go a little less sexual. Probably around that time, I heard that’s when people don’t have sex anymore.”

The comment received relatively mixed reviews as some felt mildly offended by her synopsis.

However, actress Suzanne Somers begged to differ, as she offered a totally different perspective, from personal experience. Somers’ sentiments were the exact opposite.

On Tuesday, the 66-year-old actress stopped by CBS hit show, “The Talk.” During their discussion, the ladies brought up the topic of sex. Somers was asked how often she and her husband have sex. She shamelessly spoke openly with the ladies about her intimate life behind closed doors with her husband of 46 years, Alan Hamel. Surprisingly, she had a very enlightening perspective that left everyone in hysterics.

“We have sex a couple times a day. He’s on hormones and I’m on hormones,” said Somers of her 77-year-old husband. The audience roared with laughter and, she quickly added: “I’m going to be so sorry I said that. What is it about men at four in the morning? And then I’m really awake around eight or so. We have busy mornings.” Somers also stated that her sex life has never been better.

While the news came as an absolute shock for everyone in the room, this actually isn’t the first time Somers has spoke publicly about her sex life. Last month when Somers spoke with Katie Couric, the topic of sex emerged then as well. The “I’m Too Young for This” author also weighed in on the healthy state of her sex life. “A healthy person is a sexual person. “You know, it’s all biology. Well first of all … I desire him, to begin with.”

According to the LA Times, Somers accredits her healthy, active lifestyle to approximately ’60 supplements, creams, and a daily injection of human growth hormone.’ She claims that the daily routine keeps her feeling young and rejuvenated.
