  • According to Reuters, advertisers can move forward with a 2008 class action lawsuit claiming that Google put their ads on poor quality websites without permission. This class action suite was brought by advertisers who advertised on Google Adwords between 2004 and 2008.

The court let stand a lower court ruling which means that the suit representing hundreds of thousands of advertisers using Google’s AdWords program could go forward.

Plaintiffs claim that Google did not disclose that their ads would appear on sites other than Google’s own search engine.

They also allege that Google not only placed them on sites without their knowledge but put them on low quality sites like 404 pages and parked domains.
