  • Today would’ve been the 57th birthday of Apple cofounder Steve Jobs, who passed away last October after a long battle with cancer. Fan commemoration has been a trending topic, and there had been speculation that Apple was going to release the iPad 3, to honor their chief. While this turned out to be just a rumor, last year, Apple celebrated by releasing beefed-up MacBook Pro models with new high-speed Thunderbolt ports and Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors.

    Various fans took to Twitter, with a popular tweet reading “3 Apples changed the world: Adam and Eve’s forbidden apple, Newton’s apple and finally Steve Jobs’s Apple. Happy Birthday Steve Jobs,” according to Apple Insider.

    Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything – all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

    Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California, and went on to cofound Apple Computer in 1976.
