  • Last week, Sony announced April’s batch of free games for PlayStation Plus members. While the biggest draw was definitely Mercenary Kings on PS4, there were a number of great games for PS3 and PS Vita as well. This week, PS3 and PS Vita owners can get their hands on one of last year’s biggest indie hits.

Sony announced this morning that Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark (formerly known as Stealth Bastard) will be the free game this week. It’s a cross buy title available on both the PS3 and PS Vita so owning one will net you the other free of charge.

For those not in the know, Stealth Inc is a stealth platformer that challenges players to make their way through a research facility without being seen. There’s nothing else quite like it out there as platformers tend to shy away from stealth for pretty obvious reasons. Stealth Inc seems to have nailed a nice harmony between the two gameplay styles though. Here’s the official synopsis:

Stealth Inc is a fast-paced stealth platformer featuring brutal hazards, ruthless enemies, fiendish puzzles and red pixels galore. Jump, sneak, and be chunked through 80 levels. Will you make it out alive? Armed with only your wits and a pair of top of the range Stealthing Goggles, it’s your job to sneak your way through a deadly facility that’s determined to extinguish your fragile little life. With no weapons and no armour, being seen means instant death.

If you need to see more, here’s a trailer of the game in action:

Alongside Stealth Inc going free, PlayStation Plus members will also get a discount on tomorrow’s new PS4 game – Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut. The game will normally retail for $19.99, but Plus members will get it for $15.99 instead.

Finally, Sony notes that Dyad will be leaving the Instant Games Collection tomorrow. If you have yet to pick up the psychedelic Tempest clone, you’d better do it today.
