  • Sophia Loren has no problem in voicing her opinion.

The legendary actress shared her disapproval of selfies and says today’s young celebrities need to beware of too much plastic surgery.

The 81-year-old Oscar-winner shared her opinions Tuesday to Page Six at Cipriani 42nd Street.

“These young girls really need to be more careful and selective of what they are doing to their bodies and their faces,” said Loren. “I mean, you do not know for sure if you are going to a good doctor . . . you can end up looking worse than what you thought you originally were.”

Sophia Loren had very definitive ideas about how an actress should be measured.

“In my time,” Loren added, “an actress’ merit and skill was based on her talent. Now when people meet me, they pull out their phones to take pictures. I do not know much about social media, but it seems that that’s what makes people more famous. My era of Hollywood was much better — you were known for your skill and talent.”

Obviously, the one-time sex symbol longs for a different era.

“I was very lucky to be a part of that time,” added Loren.

Still, the Italian beauty says she will never stop working, and “retirement” is a dirty word in her book.

“That’s terrible, the word retire. Never,” she said. “We start always like it was the beginning of a long career.”

After sharing her viewpoint, Sophia Loren, looking beautiful in Armani, was honored at the Americans for the Arts National Arts Awards with Lady Gaga, Maria Bell and Herbie Hancock.
