  • Sofia Vergara was asked to be in a friend’s wedding recently, and the Modern Family actress took her job very seriously.

Vergara was a bridesmaid in the wedding and wore a flowing, pale yellow strapless gown that matched the other women in the wedding party. Of course, her date was her fiance, actor Joe Manganiello, and she posted several photos on Instagram showing off scenes from the beautiful day. She also revealed the secret to maintaining good luck at such an event, saying it’s the reason she had to make sure she took part in a treat.

“It’s bad luck if you don’t eat wedding cake,” Vergara captioned a photo showing her about to cut into a big slice.

Sofia has been in headlines recently after her ex-husband, Nick Loeb, filed a lawsuit to gain control over two embryos that she had frozen while they were still a couple. Loeb says he wants the chance to be a father and, as far as he’s concerned, those embryos are his children. However, Vergara says they signed an agreement saying that neither of them can take custody of the embryos unless the other one gives approval.

“A child needs a loving relationship of parents that get along, that don’t hate each other. I don’t hate him, but he obviously has a problem with me!” Vergara told Howard Stern last month.

Sofia and Manganiello have reportedly set a date for their own wedding, but have not made it public just yet. Sofia Vergara says the event has grown exponentially because they both have large families and lots of friends.
