  • Sofia Vergara is the subject of a new docu-series on Snapchat, and her family is getting in on the action in order to celebrate the actress.

Vergara’s son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, filmed the series and narrates the story of his mother’s life, including her rise to fame as a model in Columbia. The first few episodes of Vegaraland debuted on Monday, and there are three more to come. For 23-year old Manolo, the series was a chance to show where his mother came from as well as celebrate her and question the lack of appreciation Hollywood has shown when it comes to awards time.

Sofia recently heated up the red carpet when she and new husband Joe Manganiello attended the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Modern Family star even rocked Princess Leia-inspired buns, although Sofia’s were much more sophisticated. A source told Us Weekly that the duo looked happy and in love during their first red carpet event as a married couple.

“They walked in holding hands and they looked incredible. Sofia’s giant diamonds were sparkling on her hand. She was waving and saying ‘Hola, hola!’ to everyone,” the source said.

Sofia Vergara recently said that her son Manolo walked her down the aisle and that the day was perfect.

“He was very excited to give me away. t was like a dream, like a fairytale. Like, it came out perfectly how I wanted. I have to say, the people that work helping me do the wedding, amazing!” Vergara said. We had like a party and then we had an after-party.”
