  • Sinead O’Connor was found safe and sound in Dublin after posting an apparent suicide note on Facebook Sunday, People magazine reports.

“I have taken an overdose,” the Irish singer wrote. “There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name If I wasn’t posting this, my kids and family wouldn’t even find out. Was dead for another fortnight since none of them bother their hole with me for a minute. I could have been dead here for weeks already and they’d never have known.”

A source confirms to People that authorities located O’Connor and the investigation by police is now closed.

An Irish news site also reports that O’Connor is “safe and sound” and receiving medical attention.

In Sunday’s post, the Nothing Compares 2 You singer wrote that “there is only so much any woman can be expected to bear.”

She went on to note family members that she claims betrayed her with “appalling cruelty,” particularly two of her ex husbands, who she says refused to allow her to see her youngest children, Shane Lunny, 11, and Yeshua Bonadio, eight.

She also referenced her son J28-year-old son Jake Reynolds, but did not call out daughter Roisin Waters, 19.

Leading up to O’Connor’s disturbing note that told family members that “you’ve finally got rid of me,” the singer posted discouraging notes about the custody battle, her childrens’ status as wards of the court and alleged sexual child abuse.
