  • Whether or not Simon Cowell will have the “X-Factor” to be a good father remains to be seen, but he was seen getting a bit of practice on the baby front.

The music mogul was spotted with pregnant girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, at the beach during their luxurious vacation in Barbados. In photos, Cowell is shown saying hello to an adorable little boy. What the conversation was about is anyone’s guess. Perhaps he was getting tips for midnight feedings. Or maybe the little tyke was asking about whether or not he has the chops for a singing career some day. It was clearly a light-hearted scene, and if Cowell is nervous or reluctant to be around kids, it certainly doesn’t show.

His girlfriend Silverman is showing. Clad in a simple black bathing suit, it was very clear that her due date is quickly approaching. There was a baby shower at Cowell’s Beverly Hills home earlier in the month.

They are anticipating a baby boy, who will be 54-year-old Simon Cowell’s first child. They also admitted to having a baby name already picked. If you’re hoping to find out what that name is, you’re just going to have to wait. The couple have no plans to announce the name until probably after their infant son is born.

We all know that celebrities can sometimes get a little crazy when it comes to baby names. In an effort to “stand out” from the crowd, they often embarrass their kids for life. Some of us are still not over Pilot Inspektor and Jermajesty is about as obnoxious as you can get. A name like Matthew or Thomas might be a little too plain for their liking as well.

What do you think Simon and Lauren will name their kid? Do you think Cowell is ready for fatherhood?
