  • Shopify announced a new partnership with Amazon to bring some of the latter’s services to its merchants including integrations with Login and Pay with Amazon, Fulfillment by Amazon, and Selling on Amazon.

Amazon Webstore owners can immediately migrate their stores to Shopify, which has been working closely with the Webstore team to make the migration process simple.

“In a few steps, merchants can transfer their customer and product data – with zero downtime or service interruptions – and begin taking advantage of an extended 30-day free trial,” Shopify says in an announcement.

“We strive to help merchants grow by delighting their customers, and we understand the importance of being integrated into the platforms that power their business,” adds Patrick Gauthier, VP of Amazon Payments. “Shopify exemplifies the value of simplicity in an increasingly complex world of commerce services. We are excited to work together with Shopify to create best of class solutions that help merchants integrate Amazon offerings”

More on the migration process here.

Shopify Merchants will now be able to enable their customers to pay with Login and Pay with Amazon, which Amazon launched for ecommerce sites two years ago.

As far as integration with Fulfillment by Amazon goes, Shopify merchants will be able to utilize Amazon’s fulfillment centers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan. After receiving an order, Amazon will will ship it and provide customer service on deliveries. Customers will also be able to use 1 or 2-day shipping if they’re Prime members.

While not available just yet, the Amazon Sales Channel will soon be available to Shopify merchants, at which point they’ll be able to list and sell products on Amazon directly from Shopify.
