  • Shayne Lamas of The Bachelor fame is expecting her second baby with hubby Nik Richie. Her husband confirmed the pregnancy in an interview with Us Weekly.

“Shayne’s twelve weeks pregnant,” he said. “Like the great husband I am, I knocked her up during her birthday trip in Maui, Hawaii last November. Definitely a LOVE baby.”

Lamas won season 12 of The Bachelor back in 2008. Bachelor Matt Grant proposed to her during the show’s season finale, but just a few months later the couple announced that they were no longer engaged. She and Nik Richie got married in Las Vegas after having known each other only a few hours back in 2010. The couple had their first child–a daughter named Press Dahl Lamas-Richie, back in November of 2011.

This past Wednesday, Shayne Lamas shared the following via Instagram.

She added, “When you are under construction it’s ideal to put on the hard-hat kids” to her post.

In addition to appearing on The Bachelor, Shayne Lamas played the role of Young Carly Corinthos on General Hospital back in 2005. The daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, she also briefly appeared on his E! reality TV show Leave It to Lamas.

Nik Richie–who was born Hooman Abedi Karamian–is best known for his controversial celebrity website The Dirty. He and Shayne Lamas filmed several episodes of VH1’s Couples Therapy back in 2012. Do you suppose it had anything to do with only having known each other a few hours when tying the knot?

Hopefully by now Nik Richie and Shayne Lamas have worked out all of those pesky marital issues, because marriage takes on a whole new feel when baby number two comes along.
