Sharon Stone Says Nanny Is Lying In Lawsuit

  • Actress Sharon Stone is being sued by her former nanny, a Filipino woman named Erlinda Elemen, for allegedly violating labor laws by reneging on paying overtime, then firing Elemen when she refused to give the money back. Elemen also says Stone repeatedly made hurtful comments about her ethnicity, even going so far as to warn the nanny not to speak around her children because she didn’t want them to pick up her accent.

Stone, however, says all of that is untrue and that Elemen is simply seeking fame and fortune at her expense.

“After she was terminated approximately one-and-a-half years ago, she filed claims for alleged disability and workers compensation,” Stone said in a statement. “Now, she is obviously looking for another opportunity to cash in.”

Elemen worked for Stone for more than four years before being fired in 2011 and, according to the lawsuit, the abuse went on for months before she was terminated. Part of the suit states that Stone was “repeatedly verbally dismissive of Elemen’s deeply held religious beliefs, criticized Elemen for frequently attending church and, on one occasion, even forbade her live in nanny from reading the bible in Stone’s house.”

Stone says everything charged against her is totally fabricated and is not backing down from her day in court.

Maybe Sharon Stone’s Nanny and John Travolta’s Masseuse should get together and swap notes.
