  • Sean Lowe and Catherine Guidici tied the knot on TV Sunday evening in the first televised wedding stemming from The Bachelor. The Bachelor star’s father Jay served as wedding officiant. He called the wedding “an epic fairy tale on display for the whole world to see.” The ceremony and reception took place at the Four Seasons Resort–The Biltmore Santa Barbara.

A few former Bachelor stars were on Sean Lowe and Catherine Guidici’s guest list, including Jason and Molly Mesnick, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum, Trista and Ryan Sutter, and newly engaged Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried. Lesley Murphy, who competed on Sean Lowe’s season of The Bachelor, served as one of Catherine Guidici’s bridesmaids.

Lowe wore a dapper Golce and Gabbana tuxedo and Guidici stunned in a positively elegant Monique Lhuillier gown.

Sean Lowe and Catherine Guidici met on The Bachelor and became engaged in Thailand in 2012. The wedding ceremony aired live on ABC on Sunday evening. The groom was reported to have tears in his eyes when he finally kissed his beautiful bride at the end of the wedding ceremony. He had predicted ahead of time–actually during an interview on Good Morning America–that he would be the one to cry.

“Anytime I start talking about her, I can’t help but tear up,” he said, admitting that he is a self-proclaimed “softie.”

“The first time that I saw you, you were like a light to my bug. I had to find you. You mesmerize me with how brightly you shine,” Catherine told Sean at the altar. “Sometimes I feel like I’m going to explode by how much I love you … I’m completely consumed by you … I promise to love you after my heart bursts … You are my dream and my reality.”

“From the moment I met you I wanted more. You had me hooked from the beginning and I didn’t want to let you go,” Sean then said. “We met in the strangest way possible … I know that we met on The Bachelor so that I could fall in love with my best friend … Every day I am encouraged by your love and your selflessness … I’m going to love you for eternity.”

Neil Lane, who designed Catherine Guidici’s 3.15 carat engagement ring also designed Guidici and Lowe’s wedding bands.

It certainly seems like The Bachelor wedding was a dream come true for both Sean Lowe and Catherine Guidici. Did you tune in and shed a few tears, too?
