Palin has claimed that she is “real” and wants people to be able to relate to her and her family, even during moments where they may not have used the best judgment.

A few weeks ago, many members of the Palin family were involved in a bar fight during a birthday party for Todd Palin. Details of the fight were not available and it is not known what caused it, but witnesses claim that there was over 20 people involved in the brawl and many of them were intoxicated.

Bristol Palin must have impressed her mother with her aggressive behavior during the fight because Sarah posted a status update on Facebook about her daughter and her ability to protect her family members.

“I have to say this as a proud mama: right up there with their work ethic and heart for those less fortunate, my kids’ defense of family makes my heart soar,” Palin wrote.

Bristol allegedly flew a few punches when someone tried to attack her younger sister Willow. According to E! News, Track Palin was also involved in the brawl and was allegedly seen ripping off his shirt and throwing a few punches as well.

Track walked away with a bloody nose and witnesses also said that during the fight Sarah yelled, “Don’t you know who I am?”

Palin blamed the media for causing the fight and stirring things up. She said that the media has been particularly annoying lately, even starting rumors that Sarah and her husband are divorcing.

“As you can imagine, they and my extended family have experienced so many things (liberal media-driven) that may have crushed others without a strong foundation of faith, and I’m thankful for our friends’ prayer shield that surrounds them, allowing faith to remain their anchor. Thank you, prayer warriors! I love you,” she said.
