  • Sarah Michelle Gellar took to Twitter over the weekend to share photos of her new choppy haircut after she had her stylists give her look a dramatic makeover.

The Crazy Ones star said she was ready for a change, and although she kept the blonde color, she opted for a short bob that can be styled in loose, beachy waves or straightened out depending on her mood.

Gellar has changed up her hair a few times over the years, going from brunette during her soap opera days to blonde for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, then to dark red for Cruel Intentions. This is the first time in a long while it’s been so short, but as a busy mom of two the change makes sense for her.

Gellar, who starred with Robin Williams on The Crazy Ones, said after his death that he was an inspiration. Williams committed suicide earlier this year, stunning millions who loved and admired him; for Gellar, who was reportedly estranged from her own father before his death, Williams was that figure in her life.

“My life is a better place because I knew Robin Williams. To my children he was Uncle Robin, to everyone he worked with, he was the best boss anyone had ever known, and to me he was not just an inspiration but he was the father I had always dreamed of having,” she said in a statement. “There are not enough adjectives to describe the light he was, to anyone that ever had the pleasure to meet him. I will miss him everyday, but I know the memory of him will live on. And to his family, I thank them for letting us know him and seeing the joy they brought him. Us crazy ones love you.”
