  • Sarah Michelle Gellar announced this week that her husband, actor Freddie Prinze Jr., is venturing into new territory with a cookbook, which will be released next year.

Freddie has kept his Twitter and Instagram followers salivating over the years with photos of his culinary creations, which include everything from lamb chops to fried lobster, and Gellar says she has personally tried every recipe that will be included in Back To The Kitchen.

“Please help me in congratulating my husband #freddieprinzejr on the announcement of his first cookbook #BackToTheKitchen coming in 2016 from #rodalebooks. I am very proud to say that I have personally tasted every one of these amazing #recipes and will continue to. But now all of you will get to share in the amazing food from my absolute favorite chef,” Gellar wrote on Instagram.

Gellar made headlines earlier this year when she said she would never do a Buffy reboot, staking the hearts of millions of Joss Whedon fans. The actress said she just feels she’s a little too old to be chasing vamps around the graveyard and besides, the show ended where it should have ended.

“People forget, the original Buffy was a failed movie. Buffy didn’t work as a movie, it worked as a long-arc television show where you could follow this journey. We spent all of our first year going, ‘Yes, we know we’re based on a failed movie, but we’re different. And so it just seems counter-productive to go back. It didn’t work the first time…I joke that I’d have to have a walker and my walker would be made of wood, and that would be how I would stake people, at this point, I’m a little old,” Sarah Michelle Gellar said.
