Sarah Jessica Parker has been in the news this week after an interview with her former Sex And The City co-star Chris Noth went viral, but now her name is in headlines for a very different reason.

The actress’s makeup artist, Leslie Lopez, reportedly turned herself in to police this week for the theft of several designer handbags, which occurred over the course of several months. TMZ has released surveillance photos of Lopez which allegedly show her taking a $2,750 Fendi handbag in January and two Louis Vuitton bags in April and May that totaled around $6,500 retail.

According to TMZ, Lopez has suffered from depression over the loss of her mother but wanted to turn herself in to authorities as she is trying to make changes in her life. She has been charged with three counts of grand theft.

Parker made headlines this week after an interview Chris Noth did with News.com in which he made comments about her SATC character, Carrie Bradshaw, went viral.

“He never tried to pretend he was anything other than what he was. It was (Carrie) who tried to pretend he was something he wasn’t. He was always honest about himself – he never cheated on her. The relationship just didn’t work, and he went on to get married while she went on to … how many boyfriends did she have? She was such a whore!” he said.

Parker has not commented on the interview.
