Sarah Hyland told Seventeen magazine that she has had to overcome a lot of struggles to get to where she is today.
One of those major issues for Sarah Hyland was her health.
Besides the kidney transplant that she had to undergo in 2012, Sarah Hyland has struggled with her health from day one.
Sarah Hyland said, “I was born with so many health issues that doctors told my mother I would never have a normal life. And she said, ‘You’re right, she won’t – but it won’t be because of her health.'”
She added. “When my mother told me that story, it resonated with me: If I can’t have an ordinary life, I might as well have an extraordinary one. If you set your mind to something, you’ll achieve it.”
Such great, inspirational words from Sarah Hyland. She also credits her success with being able to do what she loves.
Sarah Hyland shared, “Happiness, I’ve learned, comes from within. I am happiest when I am doing something I love. And I love Modern Family. It’s the best job I’ve had in my 20 years as an actress. It didn’t come easily or fast or free. It took me 14 years to land a gig like this.”
Of course, Sarah Hyland knows that happiness comes from having a great boyfriend like Dominic Sherwood to share life with.
Since going public with their relationship in February, the Vampire Academy co-stars have been getting cozy all over the place.
Sarah Hyland and Dominic Sherwood seemed to be close really quickly, and she says it’s because their relationship started out in “best friend” status.
She said, “we’ve been best friends for like, two years.”
