Sara Gilbert and her wife, Linda Perry, are now parents to a baby boy.

The baby news was announced on Monday’s episode of Sara Gilbert’s show, The Talk.

Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry’s baby boy, Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry, was born on Saturday.

This is the first child for Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry together, but not the first for Sarah Gilbert.

Sara Gilbert is also mother to daughter Sawyer, 7, and son Levi, 10, from a previous relationship.

On Monday’s The Talk, Julie Chen announced, “Our very own Sara and her wife Linda are the proud parents of a new baby boy and both mother and child are doing well.”

Sara Gilbert, 40, and Linda Perry, 49, started dating in 2011. They were married just last year after an amazingly magical proposal on Linda Perry’s part.

Sara Gilbert explained just how Perry popped the question, saying, “We go to a park, and we have food and we’re eating it, it’s really sweet and there’s this guy sitting playing guitar, like a street musician, and he starts playing this song that we love… I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s so weird, this is so magical and amazing.'”

It just gets better from there.

Gilbert continued, “So that ends and she’s like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna ask him to play this other song,’ but this other song is really obscure and this guy wouldn’t know it, but magically he knows it… And suddenly the people picnicking next to us pull out string instruments from under the blanket and walk over and they start playing ‘Love Song’ [by the Cure].”

Then, for the climax, she recalls Linda “goes to her backpack and she pulls out some T-shirts and the first T-shirt says, ‘Will,’ and then she puts on another T-shirt that says, ‘You,’ ‘Marry,’ ‘Me’ and the last one is a question mark.”

And the rest is history.

Now Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry are parents!
