Sandra Bullock recently had an encounter with a stalker and according to sources close to the actress, the incident has left her very scared and motivated her to hire 24-hour security.

Bullock was in her home on June 8 getting ready for bed. She had showered and was about to close her bedroom door for the night when she looked down the hallway to see a man in dark clothing staring at her. She quickly closed her door, locked it and called 911.

Police responded to Bullock’s home and found Joshua Corbett still inside. As the police approached him they heard him yell “Sandy, I’m sorry. Please don’t press charges,” to Bullock who was hiding in her bedroom.

Police believe that Corbett had been in Bullock’s home for a while and may have been watching her throughout the night, even while she showered and got ready for bed.

Police found that Corbett had been keeping a journal that contained photos of Bullock along with notes he had written about her and her son Louie.

One note read, “I will forever be thinking of you and Louie, my son, as you are my wife by law, the law of God and you belong to me and me to you.”

Louie did not witness the incident and was reportedly with a nanny at the time it occurred. It is not known if he was in the home or with nanny elsewhere.

Corbett was charged with burglary, stalking and 19 felony counts for possessing firearms. Police claim that Corbett had a full arsenal of weapons including many machine guns. If he is found guilty, Corbett could face at least 12 years in prison.
