  • “I’d like to thank my style and makeup artist for creating this illusion. …I’m just one of the luckiest girls in the world.”

49-year old Sandra Bullock, stunning in a strapless pink mini-dress, was awarded the 2014 Decade of Hotness Award at the Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards on Saturday night.

The award, an antler trophy, was presented by three former co-stars, Hugh Grant, Keanu Reeves, and Matthew McConaughey. Bullock was also presented with a tiara, a sash, and a bouquet of roses.

“I feel like I’m at my funeral,” Bullock joked. “Decade of Hotness … My question was what decade? I have several under my belt. It should really be Decade of Hot Mess. That I can own and I do that well and I’m still convinced I’m up here because someone dropped out and they needed someone quickly and we know I’m home on Saturdays.”

Grant, who starred with Bullock in Two Weeks Notice, kicked off the evening’s tribute.

“I did learn to love Sandy, I have to say, in that film and also, to fancy her a bit,” Grant said after running into the crowd to surprise Bullock. “I always thought she was kind of sneaky-hot. In the years that followed, I reckon she’s gone from being sneaky hot to just plain hot, actually. I don’t know where that came from.”

Reeves, who appeared with Bullock in Speed and The Lake House, brought tears to the brunette’s eyes when he spoke of not only her beauty, but her talent.

“It was a pleasure to witness and share and feel the blossoming depth of your emotion and artistry of your craft,” Reeves said. “I know tonight is about your hotness, which cannot be denied, but your beauty is not just what’s on the outside, but more importantly, what’s on the inside. Your humanity, your humility, your sense of humor, your heart, your soul, your light, your talent, you share with all of us is amazing.”

The only non-surprise guest of the night was the last speaker, Matthew McConaughey, who won his own award Saturday night: Guys Choice Man of the Year.

“Hi Sandy. I’ve worked with you. I’ve tried to kiss you, successfully and unsuccessfully. I’ve been directed by you, in a short film and also to the exit of many bars,” McConaughey joked as Bullock laughed alongside McConaughey’s wife, Camila Alves.

“I’d like to thank the Guys Choice Awards for this – the horns. How many people have held this up and said, ‘I’m so horny!’ I can’t be the only one who has done that,” Bullock said, holding her award in her hand. “I’d like to thank you for this honor, this is going to make an amazing slingshot for a four year old.”

Then on a more serious note, noting the men and women in armed services who are invited to attend the show, Bullock added, “I would like to thank the Guys Choice Awards for giving me the platform tonight to look in the eye some of our brave men and women in uniform and say, thank you for defending us, for protecting us, and they do it without judgment … We all have different beliefs, different ways to make ourselves happy, and they don’t go out and fight for what they believe in, they fight for what we believe in as a country. I’d like to thank them for that.”

The Guys Choice Awards will air on Spike TV on Wednesday, June 11, at 9:00 p.m.
