Sandra Bullock won an Academy Award for her role as Leigh Anne Toughy in The Blind Side, but Michael Oher, the football player upon whom the film was based claims she ruined his football career.
"I’m not trying to prove anything,” he said. “People look at me, and they take things away from me because of a movie. They don’t really see the skills and the kind of player I am. That’s why I get downgraded so much, because of something off the field."
"This stuff, calling me a bust, people saying if I can play or not...that has nothing to do with football. It’s something else off the field. That’s why I don’t like that movie," Michael Oher added.

Oher got into a fight with defensive end Kony Ealy. He assumes the fight got more attention because he was involved.
"Offensive linemen don’t get looked at," Oher said. "Nobody is paying attention to the offensive line. But me? I’m getting watched for everything. I know what type of player I am. Everybody else that I know knows what type of player I am. So that kind of stuff doesn’t worry me."
It's uncertain if Sandra Bullock has heard Michael Oher's claim that she ruined his football career or not--but it would certainly be interesting to learn her thoughts on the matter.
Sandra Bullock played the adoptive mother of Michael Oher in the film.

Bullock appeared Tuesday at the Tiffany & Co.-sponsored Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards, held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in L.A.'s Century City neighborhood. She recalled her life as being a 'sh*t-show' a few years back. That 'sh*t-show' actually kicked off right after Sandra Bullock won her Academy Award for The Blind Side. That's when she learned husband Jesse James on her, and that her life was about to take a huge about-face.
Do you think Sandra Bullock is truly responsible for ruining Michael Oher's football career or is he simply being a bit dramatic?
Maybe he and Sandra Bullock should switch roles for a while?
