  • Ronda Rousey has moved up quickly in the world since she first began showing up on the UFC scene; the undefeated bantamweight champion has proven that not only can she beat anyone brazen enough to get in the ring with her, she’s also a damn fine actress. Throw in a best-selling memoir and a much-talked-about photo shoot for the ESPN “Body Issue” and you’ve got a bonafide star on your hands. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get star-struck when she meets other celebrities, and there’s one in particular who makes her tongue-tied.

Rousey said that when she had the chance to meet Harrison Ford, she had to make a conscious effort not to make him uncomfortable.

“I lose it around Harrison Ford. I don’t know why, but I do. I was so obsessed with Star Wars. The first action movie I ever saw was Temple of Doom. Oh my God. Han Solo. I was in love with him for so long…I was just staring at him. And I kept looking at him and I’m saying to myself, ‘I’m blowing it. I’m blowing it.’ It’s an art, I’ve realized, to make people around you feel comfortable and that’s sort of what I’ve tried to learn to do,” Rousey said.

Rousey needn’t worry, because it’s likely that anyone who comes into her orbit is a fan. That includes Beyonce, who recently used audio of Ronda’s “do-nothing bitch” speech during a show. When Rousey heard about it, she promptly gave Bey a shoutout on Instagram.

Ronda Rousey has seen her career leap forward in the last couple of years, with Furious 7 being a high point. The athlete said she had some hardcore fight-work to do with co-star Michelle Rodriguez, made all the more difficult by the fact that they were in evening dress, complete with high heels.

“Heels, designer dresses, marble floors…It was the most intense and painful fight that any of the guys could possibly have. If any of those guys did what they did in heels I would’ve been extra impressed,” Rousey told E! News.
