Reggie Miller, television analyst and former NBA star, issued a plea for help this week after his 16-year old niece went missing from her home in Yorba Linda, prompting investigators to lead a search on Monday afternoon with bloodhounds.
Nikki Miller was reported missing early on Monday morning after her room was found empty, and authorities say they believe she arranged her room to make it look like she was still there.
"There was absolutely no evidence or any signs or evidence to lead us to believe this was anything other than a teenage runaway. There are some indicators that lead us to believe she had actually set up her room in a manner that would fool someone to believe she was still there," Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. John Roche said.
Happy to let everyone know that my niece, Nikki Miller is home. Thank you to everyone who sent prayers n thoughts, they were answered.

The teen returned home safely on Monday evening, but it's not clear where she was or why she left. Investigators believe she may have had someone waiting for her in a nearby car.
