Valeria Lukyanova is a Ukrainian model who calls herself a “real-life Barbie doll.” Valeria has become a web sensation since changing her appearance to look just like a Barbie doll. Her resemblance to a doll is so amazing that she almost looks like she is made of plastic.

Valeria has undergone many plastic surgeries to have her body shape changed to a perfect, hourglass shape and has also had work done on her face, eyes and nose, and made numerous other changes to herself.

If Valeria’s physical appearance isn’t bizarre enough, the model’s personality is also a little out there. She claims that she has out of body experiences, can talk to aliens and believes in reincarnation. Another interesting fact about Valeria is that she also claims to be a Breatharian.

Breatharians believe that they do not need to eat food or drink water to stay alive and that all they need is to breathe air and be exposed to sunlight. They claim that they can live on “cosmic micro-food,” which is produced by the universe. Although Valeria has not yet attempted to live by her Breatharian beliefs yet, she is now preparing to do so.

“In recent weeks I have not been hungry at all,” Valeria said. “I’m hoping it’s the final stage before I can subsist on air and light alone.”

Valeria is not alone in her Breatharian lifestyle, many other people have attempted to live with only air and sunlight and at least one Breatharian has died while fasting.

Although the human body is capable of surviving for several days without food and water, it is not possible for a person to live on air and sunlight alone.

Dr. Ronald Hoffman, medical director of the Hoffman Center and host of a weekly health talk podcast said, “It is delusional to think that you can escape the laws of biology.”
