  • Google has released an emergency Chrome update to address a vulnerability that is being actively exploited by hackers.

The bug in question is labeled CVE-2023-2033 and has a “High” severity rating. The bug was first reported on April 11 by Clément Lecigne, of Google’s Threat Analysis Group.

Google says the vulnerability is being actively exploited:

Google is aware that an exploit for CVE-2023-2033 exists in the wild.

The company says the fix will be rolling out in the days and weeks ahead:

The Stable and extended stable channel has been updated to 112.0.5615.121 for Windows Mac and Linux which will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

Needless to say, users should update as soon as the new version is available.
