  • Porsha Williams of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame is divorced. Her divorce from Kordell Stewart–who announced he had filed for divorce via Twitter–was deemed final this past week. She has come under significant fire in recent months for allegedly spreading rumors about her now ex-husband–a former Pittsburgh Steelers star.

Kordell Stewart believed when he married Porsha Williams that they would live happily ever after, and is reportedly saddened by the divorce. Since the split, the two have spent a great deal of time pointing fingers at one another. He claims she parties too much and even accused her of neglecting her stepson–his child with former girlfriend Tania Richardson. She told many people–including the media–that Stewart was gay.

This scenario certainly comes off sounding like a typical “he said–she said” break up. How sad that a child is involved in what sounds like a rather childish situation.

It’s always interesting to note these marriages–when played out on ‘reality’ shows like The Real Housewives of Atlanta–really don’t stand the chance that more conventional unions are allowed. When private moments and heated arguments take place in front of millions of viewers (and are likely hyped up a bit for ratings purposes) it takes away from the intimate feel of a marriage. And without intimacy–both verbal and physical–no relationship can survive.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s divorce is apparently worthy of Twitter talk.

Does this divorce mean Porsha Williams is no longer a real house ‘wife’ of Atlanta? How long do you suppose it might be before she has a new love interest to further hype up the show?
