Well, apparently the hat is making headlines yet again! However, its for a different reason. This time, the hat is serving as a major contribution to a charitable cause.

According to US Weekly, the “Happy” singer is auctioning off famous oversized-brown fedora. On Thursday, Feb. 20, Williams shared news of the auction with fans via Twitter.

“I’m auctioning off my hat from the Grammys to benefit From One Hand to Another,” he tweeted.

“Hey @Arbys, you want my hat? Now’s your chance . . .” he added with a link to  the auction on eBay.”

One Hand to Another is a charitable organization Williams founded to help and support underserved youth. He also specified that the proceeds would also be used to “help kids get a better education.”

“Now is your chance to own a piece of pop culture history!” The eBay listing description says. Bid on Pharrell Williams’ Vivienne Westwood ‘Mountain’ hat that was one of the biggest hits of the 2014 Grammy Awards.”

Williams also posted a link to the eBay auction page on Twitter. The tweet with the link also included a picture of him rocking the famous hat.  “Hey @Arbys, you want my hat? Now’s your chance…” he tweeted in reference to the Sandy Springs, GA headquartered, fast-food chain.

The auction, which is scheduled to last 10 days, will continue through Sunday, Mar. 2. But, you’ll need a substantial cash flow to get your hands on the notorious fedora. Just a few hours after the auction started, Williams tweeted again announcing the bidding stats stating that the price had already swelling to $10K.

However, the end of the auction isn’t the only reason Williams may be looking forward to March 2. He’s also scheduled to perform his hit single “Happy” from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. The song has also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.
