  • Paul Walker passed away on Saturday after he was involved in a fiery car accident. Pictures of the car in flames and after the accident swept the web, as did tweets from Walker’s fans and celebrity friends.

While everyone was saddened by his death, the cast of the Fast and Furious films mourned the loss of their friend and costar with Tweets of condolences to his family and photos of themselves with Walker on Instagram. Walker was not only remembered as a colleague, but as a kind, funny and caring friend. Many of the cast members seemed to be in disbelief while others were sure that he had died doing something that he loved.

While Walker will be forever remembered for his acting, his close friends and family say that he was never one for fame or the Hollywood lifestyle and that although he enjoyed acting, he was also very passionate about many other things. Walker had a love for the sea and enjoyed fishing and scuba diving. He also enjoyed surfing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, in which he had earned a brown belt.

Walker’s love for racing and cars went beyond the Fast and the Furious films. He had admitted to participating in amateur street racing while growing up in San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Walker had also recently started competing semi-professionally in the Redline Time Attack series and was part-owner of the performance shop Always Evolving.

Paul Walker seemed to have been amazingly well-rounded and well-liked and will always be remembered by his colleagues, family, friends and fans. RIP Paul Walker.
