  • Patti Murin will soon be the bride of Colin Donnell.

The Arrow star and Murin announced their engagement via Twitter on Friday.

“Guys, I have some big news to share!” Murin wrote. “Ready? I didn’t hate the Annie movie at all. #alsoigotengaged.”

The Affair actor actor responded with his own tweet.

“I did too!” he quipped. “To her!”

According to Playbill.com, the couple began dating in 2013 after starring together in a musical adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost, although they have known each other for eight years.

The two told the outlet in August that a fews days before rehearsals began, Murin hosted a party and, as she said, “got a little bit drunk.”

“She may have kissed me in the hallway,” Donnell said.

“We were literally starting rehearsals two days later, and I was like, ‘What did I just do? I do not want a boyfriend right now,’ and I’d known him for so long,” Murin said. “Everyone was always like, ‘Colin is so good looking, he’s so hot’…And I was like, ‘Really? I just don’t see it.’ And then when I went back into my apartment that night my best friend was still there and I was like, ‘I see it now. I get it.'”

“We kept [the relationship] quiet for awhile; up until we started actual performances,” Murin said. “It was like one of those surprise things — and now we live together and have a dog.”

Donnell played Tommy Merlyn on the CW series Arrow and is currently starring on Showtime series The Affair. He is also known for his roles in Broadway musicals such as Anything Goes and Jersey Boys.
