Over the years, American-Canadian actress Pamela Anderson has not been known for subtlety. From her bombastic bounces on Baywatch to her 1990 spread in Playboy to her marriage to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee (including a honeymoon sex tape that went viral), Anderson's style has always been heavy on the makeup and big on the hair. But on the cover of the recent issue of Notofu Magazine, 47-year old Anderson is practically unrecognizable.

The headshot, taken in front of a textured taupe background, shows Anderson with a smooth blonde bob, accentuated with a velvet bow, and a blue button-down top with a white Peter Pan collar. Her makeup is also tame with a matte face tone, baby pink lips, and innocent eye-widening lashes.

Styled by styling team JAK and photographed by Zoey Grossman, the cover look is minimal leading to the inside pages where she models demure clothes from Dolce & Gabanna and Miu Miu while still maintaining some that well-known Pamela flirtatiousness.

"My hair was so much a part of my personality and all my photo shoots," Anderson said in November. "I hid behind my hair. And then, I just decided I was okay with myself. To have short hair and really show my face, is even more revealing than anything. It's a statement - not to everyone else, more to myself. I'm just ready to get out from behind my hair and be myself. I am who I am. That's just the way it is."

Some fans have commented, saying, "She looks so much nicer and 20 yrs younger. I like the hair the eyebrows and everything." Others have pointed out the obvious, saying, "Lots of photoshopping for the cover of the magazine. Too much sun, too much drinking in her youth, too much partying took a toll on her skin."

Anderson filed for divorce from film producer Rick Salmon in July and filed a petition for dismissal on August 21.
