Today, President Obama released his official Long Form Birth Certificate on WhiteHouse.gov.  Whether this move will have any impact on the Birther movement is yet to be determined.

Since the internet has been the main platform for keeping this thing going, it is only fitting that it should react strongly to this development.

The White House tweeted about the release, emphasizing that the issue is a distraction from real issues:

The Republican response was vaired, Presidential candidate Mitt Romney emphasized that this new release is a waste of time. Former VP candidate Sarah Palin and well know conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart commended Donald Trump for his media blitz regarding the issue in the last couple of weeks.
