  • It looks like Netflix the Middle East is moving up on Netflix’s list of priorities for regions to launch its service in.

The company has repeatedly indicated that it plans to complete a global roll-out by the end of 2016, so it stands to reason that all areas where it’s not yet available should start becoming high priorities, but reports are surfacing about a pending Middle East launch.

Netflix has reportedly posted job ads for marketing and social media manager positions in the area, and the company’s head of communications for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Joris Evers, is quoted as saying:

“We plan to complete our global expansion by the end of 2016. Of course the Middle East is part of that, hence our hiring.”

Last month, Netflix announced that it will launch in South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in early 2016. That news followed a September 2 launch in Japan, which was the company’s first launch in Asia.

This month, Netflix launched in Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Earlier this year, it launched in Cuba, New Zealand, and Australia.
