This week, Netflix and Guru Studio announced a new, original spin-off of Justin Time called Justin Time: The New Adventures. A thirteen-episode season will debut on Netflix in early 2016.

Justin Time is an animated series aimed at three to six year olds, and follows the adventures of lead character Justin and his friends Olive and Squidgy. They travel through time and around the world.

“We are excited to be working with some of the greatest animators in the world to bring new and original episodes of Justin Time to our members,” said Erik Barmack, Vice President of Content Acquisition for Netflix. ““The series has been a hit for us across several Netflix territories and we expect nothing less for the new series.””

The original Justin Time received an award for Best Pre-School Program or Series at the Canadian Screen Awards and was nominated for the 2013 Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award for Outstanding Pre-School Animated Program. It was also nominated for six Annie Awards.
