  • Miss Jamaica, Kaci Fennell, may not have won Sunday’s Miss Universe 2015 pageant, but she won many hearts during the competition.

Miss Columbia, Paulina Vega, won the title, but many were focused on Miss Jamaica, who came in fifth place. After the new Miss Universe was crowned, cameras showed Miss Jamaica with her own swarm of pageant contestants congratulating her on a job well done.

In addition to that, Miss Jamaica had a ton of fans in the audience, as well as on social media outlets.

As Miss Jamaica was being interviewed after the event, chants of, “Jamaica, Jamaica!” could be heard in the background.

So, if Miss Jamaica was such a clear winner with the public, why did she only come in fifth place?

After the pageant, the hashtags #MissJamaicaWasRobbed and #MissJamaicaShouldHaveWon quickly appeared on Twitter. Many, of course, speculated that the pageant was rigged.

And there were many who supported Miss Jamaica after the whole thing was over.

However, Miss Jamaica herself isn’t throwing a fit. In fact, she is the perfect picture of class as accusations fly against pageant judges.

“I believe it went exactly how it should. I’m so happy I had this opportunity. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Miss Jamaica added, “If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s only up from here…but I’m still focused on my studies. I do want to be a teacher, that’s my passion! I love kids! I also want to be a chef.”

What do you think about Miss Jamaica coming in fifth place? Do you think she was robbed and why?
