  • Miranda Lambert and her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, have only been divorced for around three months, but the split seems to be a fairly amicable one.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton released a joint statement back in July, saying, “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”

The statement continued, “We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

After the split, Miranda Lambert was quick to dive into her music with her whole heart, as was Shelton.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were a glittering country superstar power couple, each cheering the other on at various awards ceremonies while they both drove home with their arms full of trophies.

That makes the upcoming CMA Awards show seem to have the potential for some serious awkwardness.

Miranda Lambert and her ex are both on the list to perform at the November 4th show.

Other performers include Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Keith Urban, Hank Williams Jr., and Kacey Musgraves.

However, all eyes are likely to be on Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert to see just how the two of them handle it.

Miranda Lambert, for one, will likely clean up again at this year’s show.

Even though it’s been a tough year for her, she is feeling pretty good.

Miranda Lambert said previously of life after Blake, “I’m in a good place.”

She added, “I wasn’t, but I am now. It’s amazing how quickly life can turn around for you. I’ve had some pretty cool things in recent times that’ve happened and I’m loving it.”

What do you think? Will this year’s CMA Awards be a little awkward for Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton or do you think they’ll handle it like a couple of pros?
