Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were a hot Hollywood couple for several months.

When Miley started to change her look and attitude it caused a lot of drama for the two of them and although they were engaged, they both decided to part ways.

Hemsworth hinted that he broke it off with Miley because of her bad behavior, but acted as though he was sad about the split.

Miley on the other hand, didn’t bat an eye and seemed to be happy to be single again.

While she didn’t talk much about the split, shortly after the engagement was called off, Miley did open up a bit to Barbara Walters.

“I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think, conquering that fear, this year, was actually bigger than any other transition that I had, this entire year. I don’t ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like, without them, you can’t be yourself,” she said in 2013.

Although Miley may not have offered much information about the breakup at the time, she recently decided to open up about it and said that she does still love Liam.

“I think I’m speaking to women and it’s not because I went through a breakup. I love Liam and Liam loves me but it’s about finding yourself and sometimes you have to separate yourself from everyone, she recently said.”

Miley didn’t say if she plans to make amends with Liam or if she would be willing to give their relationship another chance, and it seems like she is more focused on helping others at the moment instead of finding love.

Over the last few months Miley has been working to raise homelessness awareness and money for her favorite charity, My Friend’s Place. She even brought a homeless man to the 2014 VMAs.

It’s nice to see that behind all the crazy outfits and poses, Miley still has the same kindness and generosity she had when she first started her music career. Maybe Liam will notice her selflessness and pursue a relationship with her again.
