Miley Cyrus released a video for her new single “Wrecking Ball” on Monday, and today it has earned over 14 million views on Vevo…and 10.9 million of those were within the first 24 hours of being up, which means she beat One Direction’s record from July for “Best Song Ever”.

Cyrus has been the talk of the web in the past several weeks; between her naughty performance with Robin Thicke at the VMAs–and the subsequent backlash–and the release of some very grown-up photos and videos, she’s got the internet buzzing. The former Disney Channel star appears both nude (with carefully-done camera work to hide some things) and dressed in only a white tank and panties in the video for “Wrecking Ball”, in which she also alternately licks a sledgehammer and swings around on said ball wearing only her tattoos and some red lipstick.

The sudden, sexualized Miley has been criticized by many of late, but we have to admit, getting naked in a video never did anything to harm views. Check it out below.
