Melissa Rivers will be appearing on the Fashion Police: Celebrating Joan special tonight to honor her late mother Joan Rivers alongside co-hosts Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos.

On Wednesday, E! announced that Friday would be “Joan Day” and that they would be running an all day marathon of Fashion Police with a 90-minute tribute at the end of the night. The special will include special messages from Joan’s children and her former co-hosts.

Melissa has received an outpouring of love and support since her mother passed away earlier this month at the age of 81. In a clip from the special episode, Melissa even reveals that she received a handwritten letter from President Obama and his wife.

“She affected so many people and people you would never expect to have humor,” Melissa said. “I received a letter from the White House, from President Obama. Someone who was often a target of her jokes — as well as Mrs. Obama — I received a handwritten note that said, ‘Not only did she make us laugh, she made us think. That’s one of those things that people now are realizing.'”
