Megyn Kelly has seen her fair share of feuds with people, including presidential hopeful Donald Trump, and she says there’s one word that seems to draw negativity unless she can avoid it.

The Fox News journalist said in a recent interview with Stephen Colbert that the word “feminism” has a history of attracting controversy, and she believes it’s because it alienates people.

“I think it’s alienating. The reason I think that is because it’s been co-opted by some people who don’t want you in their club unless you see certain women’s issues the way they see them. I think that’s alienating. I like more of the Sheryl Sandberg approach, where it’s take the most divisive issues and table those and see what we can agree on as women,” Kelly said.

Kelly has long had an issue with the way people react to the term and what it means for different people, saying in 2010 that the message has changed so much from what it started out to be.

“I respect women like Gloria Steinem who paved the way. But when you say ‘feminist’ now, there is a message that if you are sexy and you acknowledge that part of your personality publicly, then it’s somehow an affront to women. And I reject that.”

Megyn Kelly spoke a bit to Colbert about her “feud” with Trump, saying she wouldn’t use that word since he’s been on Fox News dozens of times in recent months. However, she did acknowledge that they have issues, saying that Trump has “beef” with her.

“Now, Donald Trump has been on Fox News 140 times in the last year, so we are not feuding with him. But he does have a beef with me. He recently said that his supporters are so devoted to him that he could go in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and he wouldn’t lose a single voter. In response to which, I want to ask him, ‘Were you talking about me?’” Kelly said.
