  • Megyn Kelly landed an impressive interview–the first with three Americans who helped thwart a terrorist attack on a train bound for Paris in August. She conducted the interview on her Fox show, The Kelly File, on Saturday evening.

During her interview with U.S. Airman Spencer Stone, Oregon National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, and Anthony Sadler, Megyn Kelly asked the men–who have been friends since childhood–if their experience on that train gave them a greater appeciation of the September 11th attacks.

“I feel so much more connected to terrorist attacks and things like that and victims of terrorist attacks,” Skarlatos, who is 22, said. “That easily could have been us if any one of six or seven things went a different way.”

Sadler, who is 23, said he visited the 9-11 memorial in New York recently “and it just gave me a whole new perspective. I was just appreciative of the names on the stones out there because that could have easily been us, just as easy.”

Following their interview with Megyn Kelly, the three men rode on a float in a parade hosted by their hometown of Sacramento.

In August, Megyn Kelly beat out Bill O’Reilly for the first time ever in ratings for the 25-54 demographic. This is due in part to her hosting the Republican convention on August 6th, during which Donald Trump disrespected her with his crude comment about “blood” coming from her “wherever.”

Back in June, Megyn Kelly landed an exclusive interview with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, along with their daughters, Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald. The interview was based on the eldest of the former 19 Kids and Counting family’s 19 children. Josh Duggar admitted to having sexually molested five underage girls when he was a teenager. Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald admitted to being two of their brother’s victims.

What is it about Megyn Kelly that has people agreeing to do these interviews with her–rather than with other members of the press?

What would Donald Trump say about the draw to Megyn Kelly?
