  • Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green called things off publicly earlier this year, with Fox filing for divorce in August, and now Green has asked for joint custody of their two sons and for spousal support.

The actor was reportedly in a car accident some time ago that has affected his ability to work, prompting his request for monetary support following their separation. Married for five years, the couple are said to have no prenup, but are reportedly “amicable”. It’s unclear at this time what the financial terms of the divorce are.

Despite the split, Green was spotted out shopping recently wearing a smile and his wedding ring, prompting rumors that the couple had reconciled. However, sources told Us Weekly that things have been “rocky” for a lot longer than they let on publicly.

Meanwhile, Megan Fox has been focusing on her career and will be guest-starring on the upcoming season of New Girl after stepping in while Zooey Deschanel was on maternity leave. Fox took to Instagram recently to let her fans know she was okay, saying she had been off and on with social media.

“Hi, I’m still here, I just continue to have an angsty relationship with social media. But what better way to express my apprehension than with a selfie. This time in black n white!” Megan wrote.

“It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it. I’ve been a fan of her comedic skills since This is 40, and I’m so excited to have her on the show. We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part – she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up,” said New Girl executive producer Liz Merriwether of Megan Fox.
