Seahawk’s running back Marshawn Lynch came under investigation in August by the Bellevue, Washington police department after a woman accused him of assault and property damage.

Now, according to the Seattle Times, 31-year-old Jammie Lynn Ficarelli has been charged with making a false statement to a public servant. The charges come after authorities found out that Lynch was nearly a mile away at the Hilton Hotel where several of the Seahawks players were being housed, on the night that Ficarelli claimed the assault took place.

According to the Bellevue City Attorney’s Office, Ficarelli was charged on Thursday in King County District Court. While Ficarelli did have injuries from that evening, two separate eyewitnesses told the investigators that the injuries she sustained were from a fall.

Ficarelli told the authorities that the man she was with never identified himself as Lynch, but because she is a fan of football, she knew it was him. However, the man said that he repeatedly told her that he was not the man she thought he was. The unidentified man is 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds while Lynch is 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds.

If Ficarelli is convicted of the gross misdemeanor, she could face up to a year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
