  • Mariah Carey is back at it! On Monday, August 17, the Grammy Award-winning singer announced The Elusive Chanteuse Show world tour.

In a press release on her official website, the chart-topping vocal powerhouse shared details about the upcoming tour, which is scheduled to kick off on October 4 in Japan, with stops in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Asia.

She also included a quick message to her fans hinting toward some of the surprises they can expect when she hits the stage. She even revealed that she’ll be debuting new music live on stage!

“I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans. I can’t stop writing songs so don’t be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I  just wrote the night before the show in your city!”

The big announcement of new music comes as quite a surprise since she just released her fourteenth studio album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse in May. So, in addition to the new album, fans can expect even more music from the “Art of Letting Go” singer.

The tour will be Mariah’s first world tour since The Adventures of Mimi back in 2006.

The tour schedule is as follows:

October 4 – Tokyo, Japan, Makuhari Messe Arena
October 6 – Yokohama, Japan, Yokohama Arena
October 8 – Seoul, KR, Olympic Gymnasium
October 10 – Beijing, China, Workers’ Stadium
October 12 – Chengdu, Sichan, China, Chengdu Stadium
October 15 – Chongqing, China, Olympic Center
October 19 – Shanghai, China, Hongkou Stadium

October 24 – Singapore, Singapore Indoor Stadium
October 26 – Taipei, TW, Taipei Nangang Exhib. Ctr.

Although fans won’t be able to catch her in the states anytime soon, there’s no need to fret! North American and European tour dates will be released at a later date.
