  • Posing for the Empire magazine, Margot Robbie does not look anything like the usual sweet blonde actress everyone knows; she has transformed into Suicide Squad’s sexy and crazy Harley Quinn.

Robbie graces the most recent cover of the magazine in its series of Suicide Squad character features as the psychotic villain right after Cara Delevingne posed for the mag as the Enchantress. Director David Ayer shared the magazine cover on his Twitter and captioned it “Crazy in the right way.”

Harley Quinn is the Joker’s love interest and partner in crime in the comics. Suicide Squad, which is slated for release in 2016, has inspired many Halloween costume partygoers in America recently. According to Google Trends Frightgeist, Harley Quinn topped the list as the most wanted Halloween costume in the U.S.

Many believe that the 25-year-old Australian actress’s portrayal of Harley Quinn or Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, M.D, is just perfect. Robbie looks manic yet sexy in her make-up and pink-and-blue dyed hair. Unlike the traditional Harley Quinn costume, which consists of a tight-fitting harlequin outfit and headdress, Robbie is wearing a printed shirt, shorts, and fishnet stockings, making it one of the most popular costumes this year. She carries a blood-smeared baseball bat as her weapon. Robbie’s version is a modern update on the deranged villain.

Prior to Robbie’s Empire cover, Jared Leto had also posed for the magazine as the Joker, and Delevingne transformed into a freaky sorceress called the Enchantress earlier this week. Ayers also shared Will Smith’s magazine cover, where he posed as Deadshot. Other members of the squad will be introduced on the cover of the magazine soon.

Meanwhile, The Joker ranked number nine and Batman number five on the list released by Frightgeist. Other popular characters that made it to the list include Wonder Woman, Star Wars, and Minions.
