Lindsay Lohan Announces New Film at Sundance

Lindsay Lohan is back in the news again, and this time it's for a good thing. Although the Sundance Film Festival is usually a week of producers, stars and directors showing off their already-made films in order to receive finance and distribution - Lohan used the festival as a platform to announce a future film project called Inconceivable.

Lohan is currently filming a reality television show about her life for the OWN Network. Therefore, cameras were already rolling when the 27-year-old Mean Girls actress announced at a press conference that she was looking for a "fresh start."

Big time Hollywood producer Randall Emmett (Lone Survivor, End of Watch) called Lohan "one of the greatest actresses of her generation." Of course, that is quite a statement for the party-girl who has been in and out of rehab three times, arrested for DUI twice, was busted for possession of cocaine and is currently on probation for stealing a necklace. Perhaps that's why reporters at the press conference were warned that if they asked about Lilo's personal life, they would have to exit the room.

Lohan expects Inconceivable to jump start her stalled career. "I've never had the honor of coming here before, to bring something to the table, which is starting fresh for me." She added, "It's a nice change to be back among people that are in the industry that I've been in since I was a kid."

Emmett and Lohan will work to put together a cast and crew. They expect to start shooting in March. Lohan's expanded role as producer seems to have invigorated her passion for film, "There’s nothing better than having seen all of your ideas and thoughts that you’ve been thinking about to come to fruition and to share that with people. I think that’s why I’ve always loved making movies so much. So it’s nice to be able to have another position in the film rather than just showing up and being on the set.”

What do you think? Is Lohan poised for a comeback or will her old demons return to haunt her?
