Rap battles might soon be staged in courtrooms with Lil Wayne’s $51 million lawsuit against one-time father figure Birdman and his record company, Cash Money.

Earlier this year, the rapper sued Cash Money which allegedly owed him $8 million for licensing and royalties for his long-delayed The Carter V album.

The lawsuit was broken down in detail by former entertainment lawyer, Reggie Ossé, a.k.a. Combat Jack. It allegedly also includes fees for the artists on Young Money like rapper Drake. In total, Cash Money supposedly owes $10 million to its artists. The lawyer also claims that the label will not be providing any accounting for how much Drake has actually generated for it.

Wayne once rapped, “Cash Money Record, where dreams come true,” but for several months now, the rapper has been singing a different tune. Recently, Wayne vented with “eyes wide shut” through a new Young Money Cipher video released by Karen Civil. Wayne was featured front and center, rapping, “I thank you for my hit man / And tell Pac I’m a big fan / I sing ‘Dear Mama’ to my dear mama.”

Referencing Tupac, Tunechi raps “I say hit ‘em up to my daddy b**ch a**,” dissing Baby. Wayne also adds, “blood all in the f***ing baby food,” which could either be another diss line addressed to Baby, or just an attempt at gore.

Young Thug is apparently targeted, too. “Young motherf***ing Money/These my motherf**king brothers not my f***ing hubbies,” says Wayne.

Wayne seemed to have pushed the domino as other artists of the record company expressed signs of leaving. Drake’s “If You’re reading This It’s Too Late” mixtape was reportedly addressed towards his album commitment to Young Money. Turk has recently joined in on the lawsuit against Cash Money, while Tyga has long expressed his desire to leave.
