For those who prefer the Japanese aesthetic, you might even find yourself wanting to design a few characters in that style yourself. Well, you can always buy JRPG art books to learn or you can watch a new video featuring Drakengard character designer Kimihiko Fujisaka.

Square Enix announced the third wave of Drakengard 3 pre-order bonuses this morning for those who order the game through the Square Enix shop. If you put in a pre-order today, you’ll get an exclusive set of “six free themes featuring Zero, Mikhail, and the game’s four Disciples: Cent, Octa, Decadus, and Dito.” Each disciple theme has three images in rotation as well so you shouldn’t get bored of any of them.

If you want to know more about the game, Square Enix also updated the game’s web site with some more chapters from the prequel novella. The new chapters focus on the disciples and their back stories so players can get acquainted with them before the game launches in May.

Drakengard 3 will be out May 20 exclusively on the PS3. It was previously only available through the Square Enix online store, but the publisher has now made it available via Amazon as well. While it doesn’t have the nice pre-order bonuses, it lets you avoid having to deal with Digital River. That alone might be worth missing out on the bonuses.
