  • Leah Messer addressed her recent custody hearing on the season six premiere of Teen Mom 2 Thursday night, and admitted that ex-husband Corey Simms’s criticism of her parenting skills hurt. Following months of fighting over the custody of five-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, Leah Messer left the hearing with full custody of the girls.

Following the hearing, Leah Messer admits she still has some hard feelings over Corey’s accusations. He claims he was simply doing what he felt was best for the twins.

“I can’t say that I don’t have hard feelings, because I do,” she says. “Being called an incompetent mother and this and that was really hurtful.”

“It feels like we both have little chips on our shoulders and we can’t stand each other, because that’s how I feel, I’m sure that you feel the same,” Corey Simms says. “But I just want us to do the best for them.”

Leah does have to submit to routine drug tests in order to satisfy the court and retain custody of the girls. She’s not thrilled about that, but her record of drug abuse speaks for itself.

“Even though I’m annoyed that I have to take a drug test, I’m relieved that our custody hearing is over,” Calvert says. “I’m hoping we can move past this for our girls’ sake.”

Even more than the drug issue, though, was the fact that Leah Messer dropped the kids of late to school frequently.

“Like I told you from day one, what I was doing was not a personal attack towards you,” Simms explained to Calvert. “It might have seemed like that, but what I was seeing I just didn’t agree with. I didn’t like the tardies because next year they aren’t going to like tardies in kindergarden.”

What’s your take on the court’s decision for Ali and Aleeah to remain in Leah Messer’s custody? Do you think the right decision was made?
