Lamar Odom is walking again, and Khloe Kardashian is thrilled with the progress he’s making.

It was during an interview on Live! With Kelly and Michael that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared an update on the former NBA player’s condition.

“It’s such a relief,” she told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. “It was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to happen. And what’s crazy is because he’s an athlete, I really think having so many years of working out every single day — he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago, and now he’s walking.”

Kardashian recently had Lamar Odom transferred from Cedars Sinai Medical Center to a private rehab facility, where he will relearn many of the skills he lost from being in a coma following his near-fatal overdose in October.

“We were able to leave the hospital–he was able to walk out of the hospital,” Khloe said. “And it was such a great thing. You get strolled on in there, he didn’t really even know where he was, and he [was] able to walk out on his own. So I’m happy for him and how he’s trying, and he’s really making great strides. And that’s a testament to his own will and desire to get better.”

Khloe Karashian has remained faithful to Lamar Odom, even if he didn’t always remain faithful to her. His penchant for wandering weighed heavily into her decision to divorce him. Since his overdose, however, Khloe withdrew divorce papers. She has no intention of getting back together with Lamar Odom, but felt he deserved to not deal with a divorce in the midst of working to get well.

Do you expect the day will come–sooner, rather than later–that Lamar Odom will realize just how much Khloe Kardashian has done for him? Hopefully that realization–coupled with the fact that she will no doubt proceed with divorce plans–doesn’t send him into another drug-induced spiral.
